High School Writing Contest
2024 SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN
Timada's Diary High School Writing Contest is looking for talented young writers in grades 9-12 from around the world. The winner of each of the three categories receives a certificate and publication on the Timada's Diary website.
Students may enter poetry, prose, and non-fiction categories. Only pieces in two categories may be submitted at a time. The total number of pieces to be sent must not exceed three. Please submit your entry via email to timadasdiary@gmail.com with “High School Writing Contest Submission,” the name of the student, and the category of entry in the subject line.

Contest submission requirements:
- Each piece must be submitted as a separate Word document.
- The text must be formatted with standard Times New Roman 12-point font.
- A separate document with a short biography of the author (no more than 50 words) should accompany the contest entry letter.
- The competition entry document must have the name of the piece itself and must not contain the name or personal information about the author.
- In the body of the contest entry letter, the student must include his/her school, grade, and expected graduation year.
Contest entries that do not comply with the submission requirements will be deleted unread.
Please note that the judges will evaluate entries anonymously. This means that the judges will have access to the students' work only, without knowing their names or past writing experience. The goal of Timada's Diary High School Writing Contest is to give young writers, regardless of their background, the opportunity to be recognised.
The deadline for submitting contest entries is 31 November, 2024 11:59 p.m. EST.
